PORTS AND WATERWAYS SAFETY ASSESSMENT GUIDE
This guide provides the procedures and guidance required for conducting a Ports and Waterways Safety Assessment (PAWSA). Through the guide and a series of appendices the user is provided the necessary tools for selecting the appropriate panel of experts and successfully organizing a PAWSA workshop.
Although the guide provides the information and material needed to complete a port risk assessment, success depends upon the initiative and skill of the personnel assigned to the facilitation team, broad experience of the participants, and a proactive sponsor.
