*** Special Notice Regarding LORAN Closure: *** In accordance with the DHS Appropriations Act, the U.S. Coast Guard will terminate the transmission of all U.S. LORAN-C signals effective 2000Z 08 Feb 2010. At that time, the U.S. LORAN-C signal will be unusable and permanently discontinued. This termination does not affect U.S. participation in the Russian American or Canadian LORAN-C chains. For those users who have an urgent need to be notified of changes to the GPS Constellation, the U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center NANU List Server is available for subscription. This service provides the subscriber with an e-mail containing the NANU that is sent by the Navigation Center within 60 minutes of notification by the Air Force of a change to the GPS Constellation. Subscribe to the NANU List Server.

For those users who wish to check on recent changes to the GPS Constellation, the Navigation Center website Active NANU Page is available. This website-based service is updated between the hours of 0600 and 1800 EST upon notification by the Air Force of a change to the GPS Constellation. Changes to the constellation which occur after 1800 EST are updated on the website at 0600 the next day.

For those users who have urgent need to be notified of changes to the GPS Status Message, the U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center GPS Status Message List Server is also available for subscription. This service provides the subscriber with an e-mail containing the newly updated Status Message that is sent by the Navigation Center within 60 minutes of notification by the Air Force of a change to the GPS Constellation. For those users who wish to check on recent changes to the GPS Status Message, the U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center website GPS Status Message Page is available. This website-based service is updated daily between 1000 and 1400 EST, or as changes occur. Changes to the constellation which occur after 1800 EST are updated on the website at 0600 the next day.

Note: Please be aware that List Server emails are sent daily and every time the GPS Constellation changes.
