The project, led by Jeffery Hawkins, will run from July 16 to September 30, 2026, operating Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Work will be conducted from a dive vessel, tug Manhasset Bay, and marker buoys, with vessel communications managed via VHF channels 16 and 65. The operation involves installing location buoys along the 84-inch outfall pipeline, which extends approximately two miles offshore and branches into an east-west diffuser field, each leg measuring about 1,225 feet. Commercial divers will mark the pipeline alignment to facilitate inspection and construction. The four key coordinates of the diffuser field are: 40.567939°N, 73.454662°W; 40.562960°N, 73.452567°W; 40.566250°N, 73.438921°W; and 40.571250°N, 73.441111°W.
