The work will support the Massachusetts Lobstermen’s Association and will involve dissolved oxygen, temperature, and salinity data collection near the approximate center point of 41°50'00\"N, 70°15'00\"W, on Chart 13246. Operations are scheduled to occur 24 hours a day, seven days a week.\nThe vessel, named “Warden,” is a 7-foot autonomous surface vessel with a yellow hull and “Uncrewed / Research Vessel” markings. It will transmit as “Uncrewed” on AIS and will display a flashing amber beacon at night. The vessel may remain stationary for sampling or move at approximately 2 knots between sampling locations during the day. It is not fishing gear and is not intended to interfere with traps, buoys, or lines. Mariners are advised not to approach closely, as the vessel may begin moving without warning. Sedna Robotics can be contacted at any time at 617-506-9177, which is also written on the vessel. If needed to avoid impeding navigation, the vessel can be repositioned within 30 minutes of a phone call to Sedna operations.\n\n","COORDINATES_JSON":"{\"type\":\"Polygon\",\"coordinates\":[[[-70.08308,41.86701],[-70.35465,41.85474],[-70.47653,41.76748],[-70.37697,41.74648],[-70.21148,41.75493],[-70.02643,41.78975],[-70.08308,41.86701]]]}","COORDINATES_TYPE":"Polygon","DECIMAL_LONGITUDE":null,"DECIMAL_LATITUDE":null}},{"type":"Feature","id":52378,"geometry":{"type":"Polygon","coordinates":[[[-71.42841999999996,41.449880000000064],[-71.46174999999994,41.37290000000007],[-71.42982999999998,41.35612000000003],[-71.39646999999997,41.44210000000004],[-71.42841999999996,41.449880000000064]]]},"properties":{"ESRI_OID":52378,"MSI_UID":52378,"ATU":1,"TITLE":"Sector Southeastern New England, Submerged Lands Act (SLA) - West Passage/General/Miscellaneous","STATUS":"Approved","MSI_GROUP":"General","SUB_CATEGORY":"Miscellaneous","TYPE":null,"WTRW_UID":100116382337,"MRN":"urn:mrn:iala:wwy:us:navIV:dis1:secsounewengexcecozon:secsounewengtersea:secsounewengsublanact:wespas","WATERWAY_NAME":"West Passage","CREATE_DATE":1787833286000,"MODIFIED_DATE":1787833315000,"BEGIN_DATE":1787788800000,"END_DATE":1803340799000,"DESCRIPTION":"General/Marine Construction (Excluding Bridges)/Survey Operations\n\nFrom: 2026-08-27 To: 2026-10-01\n\nAnduril Industries will be conducting autonomous underwater vehicle testing in Rhode Island Sound, Rhode Island.
