Approximately 200 swimmers and various support vessels will transit from the southern portion of Liberty State Park, NJ, to a barge anchored southeast of Liberty Island, then to a barge in the vicinity of Ellis Island, and then swim north around Ellis Island to the northern portion of Liberty State Park, where the swimmers will egress.  Mariners may not enter, remain in, or transit through the Safety Zone unless authorized by the Coast Guard Captain of the Port New York or a designated representative. Other Federal, State and local agencies may assist these personnel in the enforcement of the Safety Zone.
